Seymour is 8-2 against Jeffersonville since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Owls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Seymour's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Floyd Central hitters got past them. The Owls lost 10-0 to the Highlanders on Tuesday. The Owls haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Seymour saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Stuckwisch, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Jeffersonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Charlestown, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered against the Pirates since May 18, 2015.

Jeffersonville's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Seymour, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-5.
