Evansville Day is 8-2 against Wood Memorial since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Wood Memorial against Shoals on Saturday as the team secured a 62-24 victory. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Jug Rox are ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wood Memorial is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Evansville Day, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.

Evansville Day might still be hurting after the 78-58 loss they got from Wood Memorial when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Evansville Day avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
