Volleyball Recap: Vanden Takes a Loss

Vanden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Rodriguez Mustangs, falling 3-0. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 25-10.

Aniyah Bermudez paced Vanden's offense, picking up eight kills. Bermudez got some help from Leila Malabuen and her nine assists.

Vanden's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Rodriguez, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Vanden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Sacramento on the 29th. As for Rodriguez, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Pioneer on the 29th.
