Eastern Alamance and Morehead are an even 5-5 against one another  since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Eagles will head out to  face off against the Panthers  at 1:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last three games Eastern Alamance has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Monday,  it was close, but  Eastern Alamance sidestepped Dixon for  a  2-1 victory.
 Eastern Alamance's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Conner Horner, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Morehead was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  14-4 to Burns.
 Eastern Alamance has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Morehead, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Eastern Alamance has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8.3  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Morehead struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.2  strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Eastern Alamance came up short against Morehead in their previous meeting  back in May of 2021, falling  6-1. Can the Eagles avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
