Volleyball Game Preview: St. Genevieve Valiants vs. St. Monica Mariners

The St. Genevieve Valiants will challenge the St. Monica Mariners at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Genevieve is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, St. Genevieve came up short against Salesian and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, St. Monica made easy work of Bosco Tech on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Mariners haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

St. Monica was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-14.

The win got St. Monica back to even at 7-7. As for St. Genevieve, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

St. Genevieve skirted past St. Monica 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will St. Genevieve repeat their success, or does St. Monica has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
