Basketball Recap: Alabama Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Alabama Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 70-57 to the Brantley Bulldogs.

It was another big night for Jayden Parks, who went 11 of 18 en route to 30 points along with eight assists and seven boards for Brantley. That makes it four consecutive games in which Parks has scored at least a third of Brantley's points.

Alabama Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Brantley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Alabama Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Thorsby at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Brantley, they will be taking part in a tournament against Zion Chapel on Thursday. Brantley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Zion Chapel likes a good challenge.
