Baseball Recap: Borah Comes Up Short

Borah extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Twin Falls Bruins, falling 11-1. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bruins from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

As for Twin Falls, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

For Twin Falls' part, Braxon Trenkle looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maddox Stadelmeir, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Hoyt Murray was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Twin Falls beat Borah by a score of 21-1 later that day.
