Football Recap: Linn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Missouri Military Academy last Friday, Linn came back down to earth. The Wildcats received a blow on Friday as they fell 29-14 to the Fayette Falcons. The Wildcats lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-6 score last time.

Linn dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fayette, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Linn will challenge Russellville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Fayette, they will take on Tipton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
