Volleyball Recap: Calhoun Academy Comes Up Short

Calhoun Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots. The Cavaliers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Calhoun Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 26-24.

Calhoun Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Patrick Henry Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun Academy will host Dorchester Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the Cavaliers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Patrick Henry Academy, they will face off against Orangeburg Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
