Basketball Game Preview: Ripon Indians vs. Union Mine Diamondbacks

The Ripon Indians will challenge the Union Mine Diamondbacks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Ripon took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Hilmar by a score of 58-50. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Marcus Madoski continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 32 points and 13 boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Logan Lefebvre, who had 11 points and six rebounds.

Ripon was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hilmar only posted two assists.

Meanwhile, Union Mine waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took down the Cougars 77-63.

Union Mine's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-13. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points over those games. As for Ripon, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.
