Basketball Recap: GlenOak Triumphs

GlenOak got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They escaped with a win on Friday against the Hoover Vikings by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51. The win was all the more spectacular given the Golden Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Vikings are ranked 28th).

The victory got GlenOak back to even at 3-3. As for Hoover, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

GlenOak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-44 win against East on the 21st. As for Hoover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
