Phillipsburg strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 24-20 W against the West Orange Mountaineers. Those 24 points were actually the fewest the Stateliners have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Phillipsburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shane Moore, who rushed for 148 yards and one score. Those 148 rushing yards gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Dech, who rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

Phillipsburg's record now sits at 5-0. As for West Orange, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Looking ahead, Phillipsburg will square off against St. Joseph at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so the Stateliners' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for West Orange, they will face off against Montclair at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mountaineers will be up against the Mounties' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
