Preview: Burke County Bears vs. Perry Panthers        
        
		
            
 The Burke County Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Perry Panthers at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Last Friday,  everything came up roses for Burke County at home  against Southeast Bulloch as the  squad secured a  42-14 win. Given Burke County's advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings  (they are ranked 52nd, while Southeast Bulloch is ranked 209th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Burke County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   A'merre Williams, who rushed for 143 yards and  a touchdown on only 15 carries. Williams was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run  that went for 59 yards.  Ronderius Gray did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Meanwhile, Perry humbled  West Laurens with a  55-7 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Perry just coasted through the last quarter.
  Corrion Daniels was on fire: he rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was  Dakarai Anderson, who gained 70 total yards and two touchdowns.
 Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 8-2.
