Deerfield Beach and West Boca Raton squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Deerfield Beach had to settle for second. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulls. The Bucks' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Easton Viveros was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Deerfield Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for West Boca Raton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season.
