Baseball Recap: Corry Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Corry and North East pushed the score to 14-8 the last time they played North East, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Beavers never let the Grape Pickers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Beavers have posted since April 29, 2024.

Roo Hellyer tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Corry's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Karson Chamberlin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Corry's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for North East, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.

The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Beavers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
