Basketball Recap: Broome Sets Scoring Season-High Against Greer Middle College

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Broome). They blew past the Greer Middle College Blazers 74-21 on Friday. Given the Centurions' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Blazers are ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Broome found their leader in sophomore Kourtney Wofford, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wofford has scored all season. Diamond Martin was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Broome and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Greer Middle College, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Broome has already played their next match (against Mountain View Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greer Middle College has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Union County.
