Softball Recap: Shirley Comes Up Short

Shirley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Concord Pirates, falling 21-2. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Shirley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Concord, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shirley will welcome Lead Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Concord, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Norfork at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
