Holmes is 9-1 against Dayton since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Greendevils at 5:00 p.m. Dayton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Holmes, who comes in off a win.

Holmes took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Bracken County by a score of 10-7. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bulldogs' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Dayton fell victim to Villa Madonna and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 16-0. The Greendevils haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Dayton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Massey, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Holmes, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-21.
