Basketball Recap: Lima Senior Comes Up Short

If Lima Senior was feeling good fresh off their 72-6 takedown of Perry last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell 44-40 to the Botkins Trojans on Thursday. The contest was a 17-17 toss-up at halftime, but the Spartans couldn't quite close it out.

Lima Senior's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Botkins, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lima Senior will square off against Southview at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Botkins, they will face off against Elida at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
