Volleyball Recap: Nebraska Lutheran Extends Winning Streak to Three

Nebraska Lutheran entered their tilt with Harvard on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cardinals. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 16-25, 25-11, 25-18.

Nebraska Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Madelyn Clayton, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Clayton a new career-high. Kate Otte also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Nebraska Lutheran was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive contests.

Nebraska Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Harvard, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-19.

Nebraska Lutheran has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against College View Academy on the 10th. As for Harvard, they will face off against Blue Hill on Thursday.
