Baseball Recap: Harmony Longhorns vs. Cocoa Beach Minutemen
Harmony's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Cocoa Beach Minutemen. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Longhorns have posted since April 7, 2025.
Harmony got a great performance from Jayden Conomon as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Conomon a new career-high in strikeouts (two).
On the hitting side, Harmony saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Medina, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
The victory got Harmony back to even at 1-1. As for Cocoa Beach, their record is now an identical 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Harmony will face off against The First Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cocoa Beach, they will square off against Bayside at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
