Basketball Game Preview: Soldotna Stars vs. Wasilla Warriors

Soldotna hasn't had much luck against Wasilla recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Soldotna Stars will take on the Wasilla Warriors at 7:30 p.m.

Last Saturday, Soldotna came up short against Colony and fell 56-45. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Wasilla faced Grace Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Wasilla came out on top against Grace Christian by a score of 64-57.

Soldotna's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Wasilla, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Soldotna might still be hurting after the 64-43 loss they got from Wasilla when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Soldotna avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
