Basketball Recap: Rockbridge County Takes a Loss

Rockbridge County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 57-42 to the William Monroe Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Dragons are ranked 87th).

Rockbridge County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for William Monroe, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Rockbridge County will square off against Broadway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for William Monroe, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Orange County at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
