Football Recap: Mifflin Comes Up Short

Mifflin fell victim to Northland and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Vikings 61-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Punchers in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost eight in a row.

Leading Northland to victory were Jayden Cherry and Amiir Abdi. Cherry rushed for 50 yards and one score, while Abdi rushed for nine yards and a pair of TDs. Ahon (JoJo) Djabo was in the mix too, providing the Vikings with one touchdown.

Mifflin's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Northland, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Mifflin has already played their next game, a 60-0 defeat against Linden-McKinley on the 9th. As for Northland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-3 win against Whetstone on the 10th.
