Softball Game Preview: Douglass Indians vs. Latexo Tigers

The Douglass Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Latexo Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Douglass is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since April 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Slocum, sneaking past 5-4.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Latexo duked it out with Normangee on Thursday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Latexo is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Douglass, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
