Baseball Recap: Cedar Key Comes Up Short

Cedar Key fell victim to Bell and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 16-0. The Sharks haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Cedar Key saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was F Collins, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Cedar Key's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Key will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hawthorne at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Bell, they will challenge Dixie County at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season.
