Lovett strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Midtown Knights. The Lions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Knights, so the Lions were just returning the favor.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17.

Lovett's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Margaux Godfrey, who had 11 digs and three assists. Another player making a difference was Ali Wainwright, who had eight assists and five digs.

Lovett's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Midtown, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2.

Coming up, Lovett will square off against St. Pius X Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Midtown, they are taking a road trip to challenge Druid Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
