Softball Recap: Copper Canyon Comes Up Short

Copper Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Maricopa Rams, falling 19-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Aztecs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Copper Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Maricopa, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Copper Canyon is taking a road trip to square off against Westview at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Maricopa, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-13 draw against Westwood on the 14th.
