Basketball Recap: Millville Comes Up Short

Millville lost against Ocean City back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Millville Thunderbolts fell 42-32 to the Ocean City Raiders. The Thunderbolts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ocean City was led to victory by Marley Ostrander and Naomi Nnewihe. Ostrander went 7 of 14 on her way to 19 points, while Nnewihe dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Ostrander a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Hudson, who posted eight points.

Millville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Ocean City, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Millville will face off against Cedar Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean City, they will take on Atlantic County Institute of Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
