Baseball Recap: Southern Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Southern Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 20-1 to the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-0 loss on Tuesday.

Southern Prep Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Floyd, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Floyd has posted since back in April of 2024.

Southern Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Southern Prep Academy will square off against The Oaks School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last six games The Oaks School has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, they will face off against Abbeville Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
