Softball Recap: Mayer Comes Up Short

Mayer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Seton Catholic Sentinels.

Mayer's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Seton Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1-2.

Mayer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-0 defeat against Camp Verde on the 14th. As for Seton Catholic, they will square off against Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seton Catholic knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Florence likes a good challenge.
