The Statesboro Blue Devils and the Harris County Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Statesboro Blue Devils had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Tigers 42-7. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, Statesboro couldn't push the score so high this time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harris County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mataye Youman, who rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Ran Ogletree also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Statesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Harris County, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Statesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harris County will be playing at home against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
