Basketball Game Preview: Central Heights Vikings vs. West Franklin Falcons

Central Heights is on a three-game streak of home losses, and West Franklin a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Central Heights Vikings will welcome the West Franklin Falcons at 6:00 p.m. West Franklin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Central Heights, who comes in off a win.

Central Heights proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 35) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Northern Heights 39-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since January 30th.

Central Heights got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Melaney Chrisjohn out in front who posted six points along with ten steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Chrisjohn a new career-high in steals. Sydney Evans was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, West Franklin was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 34-28 to Burlingame.

West Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Central Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Central Heights came out on top in a nail-biter against West Franklin when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 30-27. Does Central Heights have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Franklin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
