Softball Recap: Goose Creek Takes a Loss

Goose Creek came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Fort Dorchester Patriots, falling 16-1. The Gators have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Goose Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emery Gandolfo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Goose Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fort Dorchester, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goose Creek will venture away from home to challenge West Ashley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Goose Creek has given up an average of 13 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Fort Dorchester, they will head out to face off against Hanahan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
