The Beauregard Hornets suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Valley by a score of 44-42. If Beauregard hoped to take revenge for the 41-35 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kelise Culbertson, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Lay Clark, who scored six points along with five rebounds.

Beauregard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Valley, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
