Basketball Game Preview: Argyle Eagles vs. Smithson Valley Rangers

Having just played yesterday, the Argyle Eagles will jump right back in to play the Smithson Valley Rangers at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Argyle saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 37-26 to Lake Highlands. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Smithson Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 63-57 to Texas Lions Academy. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Argyle's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Smithson Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Argyle beat Smithson Valley 50-40 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Rangers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
