Soccer Recap: Therrell Falls Short of Savannah Arts Academy in the Playoffs

Therrell and Savannah Arts Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Therrell had to settle for second. They came up short against Savannah Arts Academy, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Therrell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Savannah Arts Academy is ranked 100th).

Therrell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Therrell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they will take on Pierce County on Monday. Pierce County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Savannah Arts Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
