Basketball Recap: First Philadelphia Prep Takes a Loss

First Philadelphia Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belmont Charter Tigers.

Belmont Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amir Dominick led the charge by putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Taron Regan, who posted 14 points.

First Philadelphia Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Belmont Charter, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Philadelphia Prep will face off against Philadelphia Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belmont Charter, they will challenge Masterman at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Belmont Charter is facing Masterman at the right time seeing as Masterman is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
