Basketball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Chargers vs. Kenston Forest Kavaliers
Isle of Wight Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 72-41 loss at the hands of the Kenston Forest Kavaliers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 61-27 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Kenston Forest had a senior duo take command as Dayton Williams dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals and Will Johnson went 8 for 13 en route to 18 points plus seven rebounds and six steals. Chandler Davis was another key player, earning 11 points along with two steals.
Isle of Wight Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kenston Forest, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Isle of Wight Academy will be playing at home against Veritas School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kenston Forest, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Northeast Academy on Saturday.
