Soccer Recap: Catholic Central Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Forest Hills Central

Catholic Central proved they can win big last Friday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Forest Hills Central Rangers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Catholic Central's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Forest Hills Central are ranked 19th).

Catholic Central now has a winning record of 7-6-2. As for Forest Hills Central, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will host Kent City on Wednesday. Catholic Central are facing Kent City at the right time seeing as Kent City are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Forest Hills Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Grand Rapids at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
