Soccer Game Preview: Olympia vs. Lincoln

The Olympia Spartans will face off against the Lincoln Railsplitters at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Olympia will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln will be coming in after a loss.

Olympia's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth.

Elyse Eimer was the driving force of Olympia's attack as she scored both of Olympia's goals, bringing her season total up to ten goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Lincoln was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against Monticello, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Monticello are ranked 114th).

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Olympia, their win bumped their record up to 6-9-1.
