Basketball Recap: Essex Tech Takes a Loss

Essex Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 36-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lynnfield Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 36-27 back in January.

Essex Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Lynnfield, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Essex Tech will face off against Triton Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lynnfield, they will challenge Newburyport at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Newburyport will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lynnfield surely won't give up without a fight.
