Caldwell came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Union Local Jets with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Redskins were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Jets, so the Redskins were just returning the favor.
Shelby Pakes paced Caldwell's offense, picking up 15 kills. Pakes got some help from Sophia Marshall and her 36 assists. Aubrey Kress controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Union Local, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight matches and leaves them with a 15-5 record.
Looking ahead, Caldwell will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southern at 6:00 p.m. As for Union Local, they will take on St. Clairsville in a tournament on Tuesday.
