Basketball Recap: Parkview Starts Season with Victory Against Providence Christian Academy

Parkview gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 48-38 win over the Providence Christian Academy Storm. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Parkview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Baileigh Page out in front who posted 13 points and three steals. That's the most steals Page has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Evans, who scored six points in addition to eight boards and four blocks.

Providence Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sazy Cantrell, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoie Cameron, who had 15 points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Parkview will venture away from home to square off against Discovery at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will head out to take on Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
