While Woodruff's win against Broome wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolverines sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Centurions on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolverines have posted since April 19, 2024.

Woodruff has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Broome, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodruff will venture away from home to challenge J.L. Mann at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Broome, they will head out to square off against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Centurions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
