Football Game Preview: Mahopac Wolf Pac vs. Yorktown Huskers

The Mahopac Wolf Pac will head out on the road to square off against the Yorktown Huskers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Yorktown took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mahopac, who comes in off a win.

Mahopac took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Eastchester with points to spare, taking the game 33-14. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolf Pac considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 41 points the game before, Yorktown was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They took a blow against Rye, falling 42-13. While losing is never fun, the Huskers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Garnets are ranked ninth).

Mahopac now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Yorktown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Mahopac took a serious blow against Yorktown in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 42-7. Thankfully for the Wolf Pac, Kaden Gonzalez (who threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in one TD on the ground) won't be suiting up this time.
