Basketball Recap: Alyssa Vazquez and Sydney Campbell Secure Win for Forest Lake Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Winter Springs, Forest Lake Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors with a 45-41 win. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 47-42 defeat.

Forest Lake Academy was led to victory by Sydney Campbell and Alyssa Vazquez. Campbell posted 19 points, while Vazquez put up 16 points. Vazquez is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Braelyn Isidro was another key player, putting up six points.

Forest Lake Academy moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for City of Life Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Forest Lake Academy will face off against Sarasota Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they will square off against Trinity Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
