Wakeland took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They managed a 58-52 win over the McKinney North Bulldogs. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 47-27 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, McKinney North still got an impressive performance from Preston Spolar, who went 9-for-15 to rack up 21 points. Aiden Spurrier was another key player, putting up ten points.
