Basketball Recap: Tianna Lutters Key Part of a Team Effort in Cardinals Win

Hoisington won the last time they faced Sterling and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hoisington Cardinals walked away with a 51-39 win over the Sterling Black Bears. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Hoisington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tianna Lutters, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Lutters is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Hanzlick, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Hoisington was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Hoisington now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sterling, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoisington will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Smoky Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Sterling and Marion will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
