Baseball Recap: Berkeley Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Berkeley not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024. Everything went their way against the Gunn Titans as Berkeley made off with a 16-6 victory. The Yellowjackets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Berkeley got a massive performance out of Quinton Hill, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs Hill has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Akanni Owodunni, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.

Berkeley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Berkeley's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Gunn, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Berkeley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-4 loss against Las Lomas on the 20th. As for Gunn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-5 victory against Homestead on the 26th.
